Veneers usually require 2-3 visits to complete, with little or no anesthesia needed during the procedure. The teeth are lightly prepared to accommodate the thickness of the veneer. A mold or impression of the teeth is made and sent to the dental laboratory for veneer fabrication.
During the second visit, the teeth will be cleaned and the veneer(s) will be tried on for evaluation of fit and esthetics. Cement is then placed between the tooth and veneer and a special light beam is used to harden the cement.
Proper brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits will provide you with the necessary care for your veneers.
